Our History
Jarvis Cornfest began as JarvisFest in 2022, founded by Richard Moorse after being inspired during a visit to a RibFest while on vacation. With it having been many years since Jarvis had hosted a local summer festival, Richard brought the idea forward, and with the support and experience of Bill Cummings, and Ralph Fess, helped bring Jarvisfest to life.
In 2024, Sam Armstrong took over as the Festival Chair as Richard stepped back from the role, continuing to build on the strong foundation that had been established. As the festival continued to frow and evolve, 2026 marks its 5th year. With that milestone, the committee felt it was the right time to return to its roots and proudly reintroduce the event as Jarvis Cornfest.
